In addition to a new design, a crisper display, and USB-C charging, Amazon unveiled the Kindle 2022. Many of the capabilities available on the more costly Paperwhite model are included in the most recent entry-level Kindle, including a 6-inch, 300ppi front-lit E ink display. The new Kindle measures 157.8 x 108.6 x 8.0 mm, weighs 158 grams, and is somewhat smaller than the Paperwhite variant.
Amazon is increasing the internal capacity from 8GB to 16GB, and the battery life is estimated to last up to 6 weeks with wireless connectivity turned off and 30 minutes of reading each day. The new USB-C charging port is a wonderful upgrade from the previous entry-level Kindle. Additionally, Amazon promises that the newest Kindle contains 90% recycled magnesium and 30-75% recycled plastic.
Retail prices for the Black and Denim Blue Amazon Kindle 2022 are $99.99/€99.99/£84.99 with advertisements and $119.99/€109.99/£94.99 without. Using the links below, you can pre-order one from Amazon today; but, actual sales won’t begin until October 12.
