Netflix and Ubisoft: Bringing new mobile games!

Despite the fact that its Games segment has not been able to draw in a sizable user base, Netflix is not giving up on it (this August Apptopia reported that it sees 1.7 million users per day). The streaming service and the French video game firm said that they are developing three unique mobile games based on well-known Ubisoft titles at the Ubisoft Forward 2022 event.

A new Valiant Hearts game is scheduled to debut in January 2023. Although it will be a different tale (a follow-up to the critically acclaimed Valiant Hearts: The Great War), it will be directed by the original core team, so you can anticipate the same high caliber (The Great War is rated 95% on Steam and has a 4.8/5 rating on Epic Games).

The following Mighty Quest game will be based on the hack-and-slash action game and will also be influenced by roguelikes. Later in 2023, this will be made available.

The third game is an Assassin’s Creed game, although neither Ubisoft nor Netflix provided any information about it. A live-action TV program being developed by the streaming service may have a connection to the game (similar to its Stranger Things games).

If you’ve never heard of Netflix Games before, it allows subscribers to download a limited number of games for free using the Netflix app. Both advertisements and in-app purchases are absent. In light of the company’s goal to add up to 50 new titles by the end of the year, if you have Netflix, you might want to check it out.
