Vivo X80 is here – Get one in Snapdragon or Dimensity!

Vivo X70 was a huge hit from Vivo. Thanks to the custom ISP inside the device, the X70 series was a huge improvement in the camera department. After its success, Vivo X80 is the new iteration of the X-series. This time, there will be the X80 and X80 Pro, in comparison to the last series having three.

Vivo X80 Pro – Same phone with different SoCs.

This will be the first time that an OEM is providing two different SOC in the same market. Vivo is going to offer the X80 Pro in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000. Other than this, all the specs are similar. The display here is a 6.78-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED panel, a 4,700mAh battery, and 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Vivo is also using an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which will have a larger scan base for better accuracy. At the back, Vivo is using a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 48MP IMX598 ultrawide camera, a 12MP 2x telephoto lens, and an 8MP 5x periscope camera. The main sensor will be an ISOCELL GNV sensor, and the gimbal moved to the 2X telephoto instead of the ultrawide. The front-facing camera is a 32MP sensor. The device will be IP68 certified and will move on with the separate Vivo V1 Plus Imaging Chip, dual stereo speaker, and NFC.

Vivo X80 – A Cheaper Alternative.

If X80 Pro is going off-budget, you might try the vanilla X80. It comes with Dimensity 9000 SoC, a 6.78-inch E5 OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,500mAh battery, and 80W wired charging. This will miss the wireless charging and the LTPO panel, along with the new fingerprint scanner, where Vivo is using the conventional under-display fingerprint scanner.

The back camera consists of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 2x 12MP telephoto lens. The primary sensor is a new Sony IMX866 sensor with a new RGBW filter for better low-light performance.

It will also feature a V1 chip, NFC, and dual stereo speakers.

Pricing

As of now, the Vivo X80 series is China-only. The Vivo X80 vanilla will cost you 3699 Yuan for 8GB/128GB, and 4,899 Yuan for the 12GB/512GB variant.
