Apple has struck a deal with the Chinese display panel manufacturer BOE for the upcoming iPhone 14 displays. A deal worth CNY50 million has been done between the companies, of which, 255 is for the OLED panels for the iPhone 14, which will have a 6.1-inch display. This makes one thing clear the Pro and Pro Max will continue to use the panels made by LG and Samsung.
Just a week before, a rumor from South Korea made headlines stating that BOE is preparing to provide displays for the future iPads and Macbooks. And with this, BOE is going to be the second-largest display manufacturer after Samsung.
To make sure that they do not fall behind, BOE will expand its B16 plant to meet the production requirement with more electricity and manpower.
