WhatsApp is now making a group chat more fun with the new features. This includes Message reactions, Communities – which are set to launch later this year, large files size, and more!
At first, WhatsApp is targetting the group chats, by bringing in Communities. This is what the blog post says:
Communities on WhatsApp will enable people to bring together separate groups under one umbrella with a structure that works for them. That way people can receive updates sent to the entire Community and easily organize smaller discussion groups on what matters to them. Communities will also contain powerful new tools for admins, including announcement messages that are sent to everyone and control over which groups can be included.
Other than that, WhatsApp has also announced some the other features. One of them is the Message reactions. At this time, only Group chats will have them, with six emojis at most. Later on, the number of emojis will be increased.
One other feature is the increase in file size for sending. At this time, only 16MB of the file is the limit for sending. But the competition like Telegram limits the file size to 2GB, however, with limited bandwidth. WhatsApp is also planning to increase the file size to 2GB.
Moreover, the group admins will be given more privileges. This time, they will get the privilege to set up the chat so that they can delete any other member’s message from the group. In addition to this, the firm will also increase the number of voice call users to 32 users at the same time. I don’t know who talks to 32 people simultaneously, but it’s ok.
