The tenth Pixel Feature Drop is finally here. It includes features such as Snap at night, type responses in calls. The updates are now available for Pixel 3a through Pixel 5a (5G) devices, while Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices will receive them later this month.
Night Sight in Snapchat
Night Sight in Pixel Camera helps capture clear low-light pictures and video when the lighting isn’t quite right. It is now available on Snapchat, allowing users to capture vibrant, detailed low-light videos and photos without the use of a flash. Select a low light mode in the Snapchat app on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro to use this feature.
Communicating with captions
Live Caption is a new way to communicate for people who can’t or don’t want to speak on the phone. The users can now see captions of what the other person is saying while on the phone and type a response that will be read out loud on the other end.
Convert words into colorful stickers
The Gboard can turn words into colorful stickers based on the exact text when users are typing in messaging apps. While they type, the Pixel helps express exactly how you feel with emoji, emoji kitchen, and custom sticker suggestions. Beginning today, Pixel users everywhere will be able to type in English (US).
On the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Live Translate makes it simple to communicate in multiple languages. And, thanks to Interpreter mode, the users can now translate the face-to-face conversations with Spanish, Italian, or French speakers right on the phone, with all translations remaining on the device.
- For Pixel 3a and newer phones, Direct My Call and Wait Times are now available.
- On the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Recorder can now transcribe in Italian and Spanish.
- On the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Assistant Quick phrases will be available in Spanish, Italian, and French.
