After a wait for almost half the month, the January Security Patch will soon be available on the Pixel 6 series. In addition to this, we will also get to see the December Feature Drop to tag along.
This update for the Pixel 6 series will come with fixes for almost 100 issues with the device and Android 12, as well as the calling issues that caused the December update to be pulled. As a whole it will include:
- Dropped Wi-Fi, Pixel Stand setup, PiP bugs, and other issues will be addressed in the upcoming Pixel 6 update.
- With the December update, Google fixes nearly 100 issues with Android 12, Pixel 6, and other devices.
According to the Canadian carrier Fido, the January Security Patch for the Pixel 6 series is scheduled to start from the 17th of January for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. While it’s not sure how fast various carrier builds will become available, we can expect the factory and OTA images for manual install/sideloading to start this Monday.
