Xiaomi has been working on its latest Redmi K50 series handset for quite a while, now new leaks via Digital Chat Station suggest that the handset will be launching in February of the coming year. Although not much is known about the handset itself we can expect a few things in this upcoming handset series.
The Redmi K50 series is suspected to have four models similar to its predecessor K40, namely – K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and K50 Gaming. All the models of the series will be running on MIUI 13 with the in-display fingerprint scanner. There might be a chance that this latest series will have 100W charging and IP68 dust and water resistance but there is no certainty that all the models will have these features.
Furthermore, the vanilla K50 is expected to be powered by Dimensity 7000 and K50 Gaming with Dimensity 9000. Whereas the K50 Pro+ is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, along with the K50 Pro having the Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Additionally, there are also rumors suggesting that the K50 Gaming will have a 64 MP primary camera with a 5,000 mAh battery, while the K50 Pro+ might house a 108MP primary camera joined by a periscope telephoto unit.
Even though these are just speculations and rumors but they still give us an idea of what to expect in the upcoming Redmi K50 series. More information on the details and specifications will be given in the coming days.
