Samsung to introduce a new 5nm SoC, for entry-level smartphones.

A leak from IceUniverse is surfacing on the internet, stating that Samsung is working on an entry-level 5nm SoC. Just like Exynos 1080, the first entry-level SoC, created with ARM after ripping the custom core development apart, this is going to be a successor.

The SoC will be called Exynos 1280, which does state it to be a new variant, but as per the reports, it will be a stripped-down version instead. However, the details of the cores are unknown. In comparison, the Exynos 1080 comes with four Cortex-A78, four Cortex-A55 along with Mali G78 MP10. This can be the first entry-level SoC. This new SoC from Samsung will be a 5nm SoC and is scheduled to launch on November 10, as per the rumors.

There is also rumors that Samsung will announce three new SoCs, one with collaboration with AMD – Exynos 2200, Exynos 1280, and a third unknown mid-range SoC, which might be used with the upcoming Galaxy A-series, next year.
