Samsung today released the new One UI 4.0 Beta update for the devices in the Beta channel. The new update brings several features, including those included in the One UI 3.1.1 released for a few devices. Alongside, there are several improvements and fixes as well. Do note, the Beta update of One UI 4.0 is available for the S21 series in the following countries – Germany, China, India, USA, South Korea, Poland, and the UK.
The new Beta for One UI 4.0 brings new fixes, with a firmware version ZU1 for the Galaxy S21 series. The most notable feature is the RAM Plus, Samsung’s wordplay for the Virtual RAM. In this, a section of the internal storage is faked as “additional RAM” to the system. As of now, the RAM Plus will take 4GB of reserved space.
Another interesting feature is the support for Material You. With the first build of One UI 4.0, we didn’t see Material You at all. But with this update, we can see the Material You implemented as expected. And guess what! we do not need to create or download the separate themes from Galaxy Store anymore, as we can see below the perfect implementation of the new theming engine implemented in Android 12.
A new feature, called Microphone Boost, helps your voice to be more clear in a noisy environment. Alongside, we can see more improvements in the Samsung Keyboard as well.
If you are a Beta tester, you can get the update from Settings > Software Update, or you will get a notification as soon as the update is live in your country.
