Vivo X70 Pro series – specifications.

Vivo X70 Pro

The Vivo X70 Pro series is the latest addition to Vivo’s flagships. The normal X70 Pro comes with Dimensity 1200 5G SoC, alongside the option to choose between 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. And thanks to that high storage option, you will not see the dedicated microSD slot after all. The display is a 6.56-inch FHD+ display capable of switching from a high refresh rate of 120Hz to as low as 1Hz, all thanks to the E5 material used with the new LTPS technology. To be precise, the display is an AMOLED display, not a typical LCD. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Out of the box, the device will feature Android 11 with Funtouch OS on the top. With a typical 4450mAh battery and the support for fast charging of 44W in the box, you can run the device for as long as you want with the fast top-up available. For security, the under-display fingerprint scanner is there for the day.

For the camera, which is the selling point of this series, the X70 Pro will come with a 50MP Ultra-sensing gimbal camera, with a 12MP portrait, 12MP Wide-Angle sensor, and an 8MP periscope Telephoto lens. Interestingly, the rest three does have their own OIS. The main sensor is made with the help of Zeiss with their T* coating for those crisp images. The front camera is a 32MP sensor, out of the box.

For the colors, you get to choose between Aurora Dawn and Enigma Black.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus – the beast.

On the other hand, the elder brother steals the show. It has everything better than the sibling.

Out of the box, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus comes with Snapdragon 888+ 5G SoC. For storage, we get the UFS 3.1 storage option of 256GB. Alongside, you get 12GB of RAM for the base model itself, along with 4GB of Extended RAM. For the battery, you get to see just 4,500mAh, with Fast charging of 55W, bundled inside the box. Moreover, you can charge the device with 50W of wireless charging as well. For security, you get the under-display fingerprint scanner as well.

In terms of the display, you get a massive 6.8-inch display with the same E5 material and LTPS technology. The display panel is an AMOLED display and has a QHD+ resolution. Thanks to the new technology, you can get an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. This also brings some ease to the battery as well. It is again protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The USP of the devices – the camera assembly. Here, you get to see a 50MP Ultra-sensing GN1 sensor with Gimbal, alongside a 48MP ultra-wide Gimbal as well. There is also a 12MP portrait sensor with OIS and an 8MP telephoto Periscope sensor with OIS. The front remains at 32MP. The GN1 sensor has the largest aperture of f/1.57, giving an upper hand on the photography, failing the iPhone 13 Pro Max (video by Mrwhosetheboss at the end of the article). It comes with the T* coating from Zeiss as well.

As for colors, you get only one color – Enigma Black.

Both of the devices are now up for pre-orders around the world.

Vivo has custom-developed a new processor for their camera. This new processor will handle all the image processing, thus reducing the efforts of the SD888+ and not affecting the battery in the process. This new processor is called V1.
