Aside from a low-cost iPad, Apple also unveiled a brand-new iPad mini. The display size of the iPad mini has been expanded for the first time. The new iPad mini has an 8.3-inch display and will be available in four different colors. This tablet, according to Apple, is the “fastest” in its category.

For the first time, it has a Type-C USB port. Not only that, but the iPad mini will also feature 5G. The iPad mini’s rear camera has a 12MP sensor with clever HDR capability. Apple has also included a 12MP sensor on the front. The mini, like all iPads, will have the Centrestage feature. While the entry-level iPad can use the first-generation Apple Pencil, the iPad mini can use the second-generation Apple Pencil. The Apple iPad mini will be available in four color options.

The fingerprint sensor has moved over the power button, replacing the home button with an inbuilt Touch ID. Apple added the TrueTone function to the iPad mini 6, receiving a brightness bump to 500 nits. Apple has also added stereo speakers in landscape orientation for a full multimedia experience. Thanks to the updated blocky design, the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) can now be magnetized on the side.

The new A15 Bionic chip, which Apple claims provide all-day battery life, gives the Pad mini a significant performance bump. 1 When compared to the previous generation of iPad mini, the 6-core CPU provides a 40% boost in performance while the 5-core GPU provides an 80% boost in graphics performance. With USB-C, the new iPad Mini can now transport data ten times faster and charge faster with a 20W USB-C power adapter. It also has a 5G cellular connection with peak download speeds of 3.5Gbps.

The new iPad mini is available to order beginning today and will be in stores beginning Friday, September 24. The new iPad mini is available to order beginning today and will be in stores beginning Friday, September 24.
