Fossil is getting ready to release its latest Gen 6 smartwatch in the market on August 30th. With its previous launch of the Gen 5 smartwatch in 2019, we have quite a few expectations from the upcoming model.
Furthermore, it has been seen that the company has set a promotion page in view of this upcoming launch. Moreover, the countdown included with the promotion email from the company suggests that the launch of the Gen 6 smartwatch will be sometime on Monday.
The company has also posted a teaser video on the official Fossil Facebook page, giving the first looks at the smartwatch before its launch. Although the company hasn’t revealed much detailed information about the smartwatch, from the leaks and rumors around the device we can expect a few features in this upcoming device.
Speculated specifications of Gen 6 smartwatch:
- 1.28″ OLED screens with Always-On functionality
- Snapdragon 4100+ SoC
- Water-resistant up to 50 meters
- 24-hour battery life
- Google’s Wear OS with the possibility for an upgrade to Wear OS 3 in the future
- Features – step counter, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 sensor, and in-built GPS.
- Size – 42mm and 44mm sizes
Speculated price and availability:
We have yet to know the market availability of the Gen 6 smartwatch, but it is expected that the smartwatch should start sales from September 27th.
The Gen 6 smartwatch will be price between €300 and €330.
But these are just some speculated values, we will know more during the launch on Monday.
