Dynamic RAM Expansion: New Update for Realme 8 series!

Realme is rolling out with new updates for its Realme 8 series and this includes the latest feature Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). As the name suggests the DRM will allow the uses to expand the RAM of their smartphones by using the internal storage of the handset.

Dynamic RAM Expansion was seen first seen in the Realme Narzo 30 5G and is finally here in the Realme 8 series. The company posted the official changelog for the update. According to this, the update has the new firmware version- RMX3085_11.A.19 and will push the Android security patch level on the Realme 8 to July 2021.

• Fixes an issue where the scroll bar would sometimes disappear in File Manager.


• Fixes an issue where the screen would flicker when you rotate the screen to view photos shot with the screen locked.

• Fixes an issue where images received in some third-party apps could not be edited.


• Integrates the July 2021 Android security patch.


Dynamic RAM Expansion feature

Coming to the most celebrated feature of this update, Dynamic RAM Expansion. After installing the updates, you can expand the virtual RAM by going to  Settings > About phone > RAM menu.  For the Realme 8 series, you can increase the RAM up to 2GB, 3GB, and 5GB
