Google Maps

Google Maps might now show how much toll you will pay.

With a new update to Google Maps, you may now see how much toll you need to pay beforehand you reach the toll point. A message sent to Preview Program users of Google Maps says that in the coming updates you will get to see how much and where you have to pay the toll, be it the toll checkpoint, bridge, etc.

Google Maps Preview users might get this feature beforehand.

This is confirmed by a Preview member who took a survey that asked the user to help the development team to implement the feature based on the survey results. As per the message, you can see the toll price before you select the route, thus helping you save some money during your trip.

As of now, Google Maps does detect the tolls on roads, but the prices aren’t mentioned. Even to the Preview members, this pricing feature is not visible. It seems that Google is porting some of the features from Waze, a mapping app acquired in 2013. If this is true, then it will help us to save some bucks during the road trip.
