Sony recently announced the Xperia III Lite for the Japanese market, which will go on sale from August 27. The device is different from the regular Xperia III in terms of storage and minor features removal.
In terms of storage, the Xperia III Lite will come with 64GB of storage in comparison to the 128GB variant of the Xperia III. Moreover, you will not get to see the Radio option anymore and will be available as a single SIM model, though you get the eSIM available as well.
As for the rest of the hardware, you will get a 6-inch display, with 6GB of RAM along with Snapdragon 690. Moreover, for the battery, you will see a 4,500mAh battery and Android 11 OS running on the device. As for the camera, you will get a 12MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. You will also see a 3.5-mm headphone jack, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and over that IP65/68 certification.
The color options are Black, White, Pink, and Blue, out of which Blue and Pink will be available with Rakuten only. As for the price around ¥46,800. And as of now, we don’t know if the device will make its way to the global market or not.
