This year, there will be no OnePlus 9T, however, the firm is working on a OnePlus 9RT, which is a T variant of the recently launched OnePlus 9R. Moreover, it has been noted that the upgrade will be a minor upgrade in comparison to the OnePlus 9R.
It is rumored that the upcoming 9RT will be a OnePlus 8T with Snapdragon 870 onboard. As per sources from Android Central, this “new” device will make its way to a select list of markets. Everything inside the device will remain identical to the OnePlus 9R. You will get the same 65W fast charger, 4,500mAh battery, and the same SoC. Moreover, you will get to see Android 12 on the device when launched. However, there is a major twist.
Since OnePlus is merging the ColorOS with OxygenOS codebase, we have recently seen the influence on recently launched Nord 2. Therefore, you will not get to see the new tidy and minimalistic Material You anymore. The major change that you will get to see is the 48MP is been replaced with a 50MP sensor.
The OnePlus 9RT is expected to launch in the month of October in India and China. And with those Nords, OnePlus is done for the year.
