If you are a Samsung user, and you are currently running Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 on your very recent device, then wait is over, sort of. Samsung has started developing OneUI 4.0 with Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series. Since it’s OneUI, we will get to see some design changes in the UI and thankfully someone has leaked some details about it.
OneUI 4.0 – Will feature Google Material You out of the box, with some other color changes.
Twitter user @chunv8888 has recently posted about the changes of the upcoming OneUI. Fortunately, Samsung will allow users to change Icons and color schemes just like the stock Android 12. As per the claims, the OneUI 4.0 will follow the design language of Material You, the new UI by Google.
Samsung will also tweak the software more for the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100 as per the requirement. The firm will also bring minor changes to the Knox, with a new revamp of the Samsung Notes on the way.
Do note that these aren’t confirmed by Samsung, so consider the news with a grain of salt for now.
But if Samsung brings the Color Scheme and the new theme engine, can we see the closure of Galaxy Themes and other “Customization” bloatware this time?
Meanwhile, the first beta build of OneUI 4.0 will roll out for the S21 series, only if you sign up for the beta, else chances are you will be getting OneUI 3.1.1 for now instead.
