Samsung’s next Galaxy Watches have been leaked time and time again, not to mention the numerous rumors that have swirled about the devices in recent months. In the guise of an inadvertent Amazon Canada listing for the Galaxy Watch 4, we now have another leak that validates what we’ve heard and seen so far.
WinFuture, a German tech site, was the first to notice the listing. The design for the rumored Galaxy Watch 4 is largely confirmed. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is available in all three sizes (40mm, 42mm, and 46mm), as well as various official renders in black and silver, technical specifications, and even pricing. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which features Samsung’s fantastic physical rotating bezel, will be made of stainless steel, while the Galaxy Watch 4 Active will be made of aluminum, according to Amazon.
In any case, the listing confirms that the Galaxy Watch 4 will include the expected body composition analysis feature. Among its health-tracking capabilities are enhanced sleep, VO2 Max, Spo2, and continuous heart rate monitoring. The watch will also have NFC and built-in GPS, as well as a 1.36-inch display and 361mAh battery, according to the company.
It’s also $346.82 Canadian dollars or around $275 US dollars. We’ll have to wait and see what Samsung decides on the price in the United States. However, that pricing is comparable to the Galaxy Watch Active 2’s initial launch price of $280 for the 40mm and $300 for the 44mm. As a result, we can presumably expect similar pricing.
The second interesting detail is that the watch will be “released on August 27, 2021,” according to the listing. Considering that announcements are usually made a week or two in advance, this gives validity to previous reports that Samsung’s Unpacked event will take place on or around August 11. In any case, there don’t appear to be any hardware surprises in store for Unpacked. At least, not in terms of wearables.
