Android 12, Google, Beta 4

Android 12 Beta 3 is here with some new features.

Android, Google

Google has released the third beta update for Android 12. This new update brings some new features onboard. The new update brings stability to the existing features with the addition of the new features. you will get to see scrolling screenshots, which is the most requested feature on Android for quite a long time, along with a faster screen rotation.

Scrolling screenshots.

Now with the Android 12 Beta 3, you can now finally take scrolling screenshots. This has been one of the most requested features on Android, which OEMs like Samsung provide with OneUI, but was missing from AOSP for a very long time.

To take a scrolling screenshot, all you have to do is take a screenshot first, then click on the “Capture More” button to capture the next part of the screen in a scrolling order.

Improved Auto Rotate and other features.

Using the front-facing camera, Google is making the Auto Rotate faster than ever. This will be done by detecting the orientation of the device using the camera, and rotate the screen in that direction. Google says that this feature is beneficial for those who are keeping their device in a lie-down position. And thanks to the new Private Compute Core, the images taken to detect the orientation will be stored on the device.

The other features include admin access in the enterprise on the camera and mic toggle, privacy indicator API for adjusting the icons when the app is in fullscreen mode. Also, Google added an on-device search which can look for content on your device.

Google also focuses on gaming with the new “Play As you Download” feature introduced a few days ago. Along with it, you will get to see a new Game Dashboard, both of them available later this year. As of now only selected Pixel devices are getting Android 12 Beta 3.
