Netflix Now Allows You To Watch Partially Downloaded Movies and Shows on Android

Often at times, we want to really know what’s happening on the next episode of the show we are watching on the go but the internet isn’t always reliable and download takes a lot of time.

Previously, you could only be able to watch a show or a movie if you fully downloaded it. But now, Netlfix on Android allows you to watch content that has been downloaded partially. Users can be able to watch content when downloading hasn’t been finished due to poor or unreliable connectivity.

That’s why we’ve improved the Netflix download experience so you can now start watching The Mitchells vs The Machines or the next episode of Luis Miguel – The Series even if it hasn’t completed downloading. Once you’ve regained a strong enough connection, you can choose to finish the download and keep watching — avoiding those surprise notices that you’ve gone over your data limits.

The feature is rolling out on Android phones and tablets. Netflix also says that the same would roll out on iOS and iPadOS apps in the coming months.
