Yesterday’s amazing launch of Windows 11, the major question arise as to when the OS be available to the public. This is, however, going to take time for General Availability. But, not for insiders. The first Windows 11 build will be available for the Insiders starting next week.
Windows 11 – Know what you need before you wait.
Windows 11 is surely exciting. But the thing is – can you run it? Windows 11 although follows Windows 10 minimum requirement minus 32bit, since it’s dead now. But in particular, you need to have some more components to test it. Trusted Platform Module 2.0 or TPM 2.0 is the base requirement for the new OS to work on your computer. Moreover, you have to have activated Secure Boot and UEFI for proper compatibility. For simple checks, you can download the PC Health Checker from Microsoft.
Things get a bit interesting in terms of the Insiders. Even if you do not have a supported system, you can still get Windows 11, but with very limited functionality. However, at the time of actual rollout, you will not get any builds if you are not in possession of a supported computer. Moreover, If you clean install the new OS back to Windows 10 and then try to join Insider, you may not be able to get the new Windows, since this will count your computer as a new computer.
The new OS will be made available next week for the Insiders. The official OS will be available in the Holidays.
