Google is planning to release an updated Pixel Stand that will include cooling fans that will prevent your phone from heating up. The evidence of the new stand has been spotted in the Android 12 Beta 2 code. Google might launch the stand alongside Pixel 6. A device codenamed “Luxuryliner” was spotted by 9to5Google. The code name follows the previous Pixel Stand’s name “Dreamliner.”
The code discloses some of the various settings. These settings also include different fan modes or profiles that are “Auto”, “Quiet”, and “Power Boost.” Users should be able to select these modes manually as well. Since the charger contains cooling options, it might be even more powerful than the existing Pixel Stand that tops at 10W.
OnePlus’s Warp Charge 50 Wireless Charger also features a built-in fan. When the Silent Mode is enabled on that charger, the charging and fan speeds are reduced to minimum. 9to5Google also says taht the stand will also adjust the fan speed based on certain use cases. These could include when your Pixel detects that Google Assistant wake word or of the Recorder app is being used.
