After announcing that they will scrap Tizen in favour of Wear OS by Google for smart watches, Samsung was yet to show as how it would be and when it would launch. And it is rumored that the new Wear OS will be showcased on June 28.
MWC 2021 – Samsung to unveil new Wear OS.
Samsung is going to host an event at MWC 2021 this year. Although they haven’t said anything about the Wear OS in specific, but their talks hints towards a revamped Wear OS.
The Galaxy ecosystem of connected devices, services, and partnerships provide people with choice, freedom, and possibility. We’re reimagining smartwatches, creating new opportunities for both developers and consumers. And we’re enhancing security, giving people the protection they need in an open and connected world.
Not only it will be a joy for developers, given that they do not have to write apps for Wear OS and Tizen, but for Samsung as well, as they go through a transition from their own OS to Google managed OS. We also know the fact that Samsung is the king of Customization for Android skins, it is rumored that the Wear OS will come with its own One UI skin on top.
As of now not much of this is known, and have to wait for June 28 for more details.
