After certain rumors taking over the internet about affordable Google Pixel Buds, Google has finally launched the Pixel Buds A-series today. These are the most affordable TWS earphones in the market right now and comes with a similar design that we saw in the 2020 Pixel Buds.
Some Cost cuttings and here are your affordable Google Pixel Buds.
Since the Google Pixel Buds A-series have identical designs to the last year’s Pixel Buds, Google must cut some corners to reduce the price, internally. That means some of the features might be missing from the A-series after all. First of all, you will not get to see the wireless charging for the case, and then you will get only a Type-A to Type-C cable inside the box. However, Google promises around 3 hours of usage on 15-minute of charge, and a complete charge will go for 5 hours straight, like the expensive variants. Including the charging case, you will get a total of 24 hours of usage.
Other area where the cost is cut, is the gestures, which is missing on the Buds but has the tap controls intact. This is a sort-of hit and miss kind of feature, since some will miss it and some will not.
Other point where Google has reduced the cost is by using a single IR proximity sensor instead of the dual IR proximity Sensor. Features like dual-beambooming, 12mm dynamic speaker, IPX4 for water resistance, and access to Google Assistant.
However, a great feature – Active Noise Cancellation will be missing, but will come with Adaptive Sound to adjust the noise level.
For the pricing, you can get one with Clearly White and Dark Olive color for a price tag of $99 in the US, and $139 in Canada and will be shipped by June 17.
