Samsung has recently announced a smartphone for the South Korean market with a quantum cryptography chip. The smartphone didn’t launch in the market, however, Samsung has accidentally revealed the smartphone on its Security Update page, as a Galaxy A82 5G. The A82 will be a global variant, and might not come with Quantum Cryptography chip inside.
Galaxy A82 5G will be a global variant.
Although not announced officially, Samsung has listed the device on its Security Update schedule page. The Galaxy A82 5G is scheduled to receive Quarterly security updates, like the majority of the A-series devices. In comparison. the Galaxy A52 is scheduled for monthly updates, which is strange since A82 will cost higher than the A5x series. On the other hand, the A72 is also scheduled for Quarterly updates. And the logic behind this list remains a mystery to date.
As per the rumors, the Galaxy A82 5G will feature specifications similar to the Galaxy Quantum 2, with a 120Hz QHD+ display, a triple-camera setup with a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro shooter. For the battery, you will see a 4,500mAh battery along with 25W fast charging.
