Google is constantly working on their products to make improvements and/or add new features without letting the general public know. This time, Google Photos allows users to schedule offline uploads in the app. That is you can upload files online without even backing up your device.
The feature has been live for some users right now. If you have got this feature on your Google Photos, all you have to do is, select all the photos you want to upload but not connected to the internet. After your phone is connected to the internet, the selected photos will be uploaded automatically. This will reduce toll on the mobile data, if you use it frequently.
This also allows you to make changes to your gallery offline. Once you connect to the internet, the changes reflects in Photos straightaway.
Do note, even if this feature is cool, you cannot get free storage for Photos on non-Pixel devices anymore.
