Samsung is working on their laptops from quite a while now. However, all of them in some or the other way ends up with Intel processors inside them. And since Apple and Microsoft are using ARM CPUs for their laptops up to some extends, Samsung is also going the same way with their Galaxy Book Go.
Galaxy Book Go to come with next-gen Snapdragon SoC.
The upcoming Galaxy Book Go with model numbers – NP340XLA and NP345XLA have cleared Bluetooth and FCC certification, making the launch of the two models imminent. These are going to be ARM-based laptops and will feature next-gen Snapdragon 7C/8xx SoC. Alongside, you will see dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac bands, Bluetooth 5.1, LTE/4G, and 35W charging speeds. You will get a 14-inch FHD display, along with Windows 10 Home, and 4GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB or 512GB of storage and support for microSD card.
In tests and rumors, its been mentioned that the new Qualcomm SoC is faster than the 10th-gen Intel i5-1035G4. On the other hand, the Intel processor doesn’t bring LTE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi natively. And you have to get a Wireless Card separately (only for OEMs). Moreover, it is expected that the new SoC will bring power efficiency. It is expected that the new laptop will also support backlit-keyboard, and stereo speakers.
