Samsung is pushing the fourth Android security update for the old Galaxy S9. This new security patch comes with the April patch and comes with firmware version G96xFXXUFFUC6. As of now, the update is rolling out in Europe and sooner or later will come to other markets. In Germany, Samsung is pushing April patch to the Galaxy S9+ right now.
The Galaxy S9 series stopped getting major updates after the rollout of the OneUI 2.5. Now the device is set to get only monthly security updates. However, this is going to end pretty soon. You can expect the updates to stop permanently next year.
As of now, people of Germany can download and install the update on their Galaxy S9+ via the Software Update in Settings. Or you can download and reflash the firmware using Smart Switch.
