Xiaomi announces a new laptop with an E4 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.


Xiaomi today announced it’s new 14″ and 15″ laptops, which will come with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an E4 OLED panel. Out of the box, the new display will feature the brightest ever display 600 nits, along with DC dimming feature on the top.

Now comes the specification part. The 14-inch laptop, also called Mi Laptop Pro 14, comes with a 2.5K 120Hz display. However, you will not get any HDR here. You also get the option to choose between i5 or i7 11th generation Intel processors, along with GeForce MX450. For power, you get a 56Wh battery which has the capability to charge at 100W. And yet again Xiaomi shamelessly copied Apple, by switching to a single Thunderbolt 4 port all around the laptop. As for the price, get ready to pay CNY5,300 for the base variant which comes with i5 and 16GB/512GB memory and storage combinations. The i7 with the same memory specification will cost CNY7,000.

For the 15-inch model, also called, Mi Laptop 15, comes with the called E4 OLED panel, which has 100% coverage of DCI-P3 color gamut and has 261ppi density all around. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, along with 3.5K resolution. Also, you will get Gorilla Glass protection on the top. There are two processor configurations – i5 and i7 11th generation Intel processors. For graphics you get GeForce MX450 2GB VRAM. The laptop will come with 66Wh battery with fast charging at 100W. There is a single Thunderbolt 4 port, along with two additional USB Type-C port. Out of the box, your will also get a free dongle which supports full size HDMI and a USB Type-A port.

There is another variant – the AMD variant, which comes with AMD Ryzen 5000H processor. As for the price, the i5 model will cost CNY6,500 for the 16/512GB. Whereas the same model with i7 will come for CNY8,000.

As for the availability, The Mi Laptop 15 and Mi Laptop 14 are available for pre-orders right now, and will be available for sale on April 2 and April 26, respectively.
