Last year Samsung announced three years of Android upgrades on its most recent handset. For this year, the company has promised 4 years of security updates on all Samsung handsets from 2019 onwards.

The devices which will receive the updates are from various Galaxy series – Galaxy S, Note, Z, A, XCover, and Tab. All these devices will receive the combined 3 years of Android upgrades as well as the 4 years of the Security update.
In addition, these updates are expected to arrive at a furious pace. Just last year Samsung manage to release the latest Android security patch way ahead of Google.
