Huawei launched its third foldable smartphone – Huawei Mate X2 in China. In comparison to the Mate X and Mate XS, this time, the phone folds like the Fold series.

The Mate X2 comes with an 8-inch OLED panel, which has the fold mechanism just like Galaxy Z Fold 2. Once folded, you can see the external OLED display. Out of the box, both the devices features 90Hz refresh rate.
Inside, you will get Kirin 9000 SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB storage, 4,500mAh battery, and 55W wired charging support. However, you will not find the Wireless Charging on this device.
At the back, you will get a 50MP RYYB main camera which has OIS, a 16MP ultra-wide shooter, a 12MP 3X telephoto zoom which also has OIS, and an 8MP periscope camera that also features OIS. At the front, you get a 16MP camera for the selfie, which is available on the exterior display. The inner display is free from any punch-hole, thus giving full-view area.
Other features included are WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, EMUI 11 with Android 10, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Since the smartphone comes without Google Play integration, you cannot us any apps that requires Google Play Library. For pricing, things get a bit costly. The base model with 256GB storage will cost ¥17,999, whereas the 512GB variant will cost ¥18,999. Which costs $2785 and $2940 respctively, and is higher than the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
