Netflix is testing a timer feature on its Android app that will stop streaming after a particular amount of time that you have set. The feature has four time settings – 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or after the end of whatever you are watching.
The feature will also stop the Netflix app from running, which should save battery as well as ensure that the episodes aren’t playing in the background. Netflix is also planning to bring this feature to desktops and TVs which will depend upon how widely the product is adapted.

To use this feature,
- Choose and play your favorite TV show or movie on your mobile device.
- In the upper right corner, subscribers will see a clock icon that is labeled Timer.
- Tap on Timer.
- Select 15, 30, 45 minutes, or “Finish Show.”
This is a pretty cool feature to have especially on streaming platforms where there are just endless episodes of shows and you really need to get that sleep. Keep following us for more updates.
