Qualcomm released a slew of chipsets over the past couple of months and the new Motorola Edge S is the first to rock the Snapdragon 870. The new chipset is essentially a Snapdragon 865 but with 5G.

The Moto Edge S packs everything you would expect from a 2021 flagship device. Apart from Snapdragon 870, it has got a large 6.7-inches FHD+ LCD panel. The display supports HDR 10 and is also a 90 Hz panel. It has got up to 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB internal storage.
To power all of this, the Edge S has got a 5,000 mAh battery which can charge at 20W. on the back there is a triple camera setup that consists of a 64 MP primary sensor, a 16 MP wide angle camera and a 2 MP depth sensor as well. There’s a ToF sensor as well. On the front, there are two cameras – a 16MP primary and a 8 MP wide ange camera.

The Motorola Edge S is right now available only in China. But the phone will eventually make its way to India and other global markets as well. The phoe starts at CNY 1999 (₹22,500 or USD 309) for the base 6/128 GB variant, CNY 2,399 (₹27,000 or USD 371) for the 8/128 GB variant and CNY 2,799 (₹31,500 or USD 433) for the 8/256 GB variant.
