Dell has recently refreshed its Latitude lineup with new upgraded models. The refreshed models are from Latitude 5000, 7000, and 9000 series, and packs the latest Intel processors. In fact, these new laptops come with a privacy-focused feature – a webcam slider.
The webcam slider or shutter will only open up when a video conference is going on. However, Dell hasn’t spoken about any new models in the Latitude series but does gives information about the current series. The Latitude 9000 series will come with the usual clamshell design, or you can choose the 2-in-1 design for your way of working. The price is sort of high, as the the Latitude 9420 goes for $1,949, whereas the other high-end model, Latitude 9520 will launch in spring, price unknown.
On the other hand, the Latitude 7520 will feature a larger 15-inch display this time, and you can configure it up to 4K UHD display and an FHD webcam as well. The starting price will be $1,649, and both 7000 and 9000 series models will be made available starting January 12.
The upcoming Latitude 5420 and Precision 3560 will feature 21% bioplastic this time on the lid. Both of these devices will be available starting January 12 with a price tag of $1,049 and $1,189.
