Apple Pay is now accepted by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (MTA) at all subway stations and buses across New York. MTA first started accepting Apple Pay at select stations more than a year ago. It has now completely rolled out on all stations.
One Metro New York (OMNY) is now installed on all stations that enable support for Apple Pay. “You can use OMNY with your own contactless card or smart device. OMNY currently supports a full-fare, pay-per-ride option for now, including free transfers,” said MTA in a statement.
