Amazon has quietly unveiled its own lineup of smart TVs under the AmazonBasics branding in India. AmazonBasics is Amazon’s own brand that currently sells electronics and gadgets globally.
The AmazonBasics TVs are currently offered in two sizes – 50-inch and 55-inch. Both the TVs support Amazon’s Fire streaming service that allows users to access apps like Amazon Prime, Netflix and others. They are powered by 1.95GHz Quad-core processor and will support 4K at 60Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HLG and Alexa.
The TV will come with Amazon’s own Fire OS 7 out of the box. This is the same operating system that powers the FireTV ad FireTV Stick. Connectivity options include three HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, and one IR port. The included 20W speaker is Dolby Atmos certified as well.
Pricing starts at ₹29,999 for the 50 inch variant and 34,999 for the 55 inch one. The TVs can be purchased on the Amazon India website.
