AMD’s upcoming eight-core Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile APU is showing up with some great numbers on Geekbench 5. As spotted on Twitter by APISAK, the two new Geekbench 5.3.1 scores were tested with the new processor on an ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE test laptop.

The upcoming Ryzen 5000 series is allegedly codenamed Cezanne and is the successor to the current 4000 series Renoir APUs. According to AMD’s nomenclature, the new HX monitor could indicate a higher power variant. The H denotes 45W parts while the HS denotes parts that have 35W input.
The new Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors, or as AMD likes to call them, APUs, are based on the company’s third-gen Zen design and will probably be shown off at CES 2021.
