Samsung has taken to Twitter and announced that the new Exynos SoC is coming up next year in January. The launch date is set to January 12, two days before the galaxy S21 launch. It seems that the upcoming Exynos will be better than what Samsung game till the last year.
After the last year’s chaos, Samsung has finally admitted that their custom Mongoose cores are not that great and is ‘humiliated’ by the working of the Chip division. And Since then, the firm is now using the normal ARM cores instead of the custom in-house cores. This will include a single High-Performance Core, three performance core and four power-efficient core. It seems that Samsung will use the new Cortex-X1 cores for the high-performance core. The new Exynos 2100 will launch on January 12, and will incorporate Mali-G78 GPU.
However, a leak suggest that Samsung will go with 7nm process instead of 5nm which was used in 1080, which is going to be highly unlikely.
