Google is currently doing the A/B testing for its Search on desktop browsers. They are trying to bring the Dark mode on the desktop, which they already brought on the Android and iOS.
Initially, Google introduced a flag in desktop Chrome to make the each page run a “forced” dark mode, in case it doesn’t have any. But now Google is working to bring a native dark mode on their Search. If you are one of them who got access to Dark mode in search, you might see many changes straightaway. For example, a Grey-ish logo instead of the multi-colored one, background similar to what Google provides on its official apps and many others.
A very few users are getting this feature for now. So don’t hold your breath to see the dark mode on the desktop, it might take some time to reach you, and you might even live.
