Next month, Samsung will launch the flagship Galaxy S21, but first, the Korean company has to obtain the requisite approvals across multiple markets. The new certification comes from the FCC, which has 25W wired charging support, where the vanilla Galaxy S21, codenamed SM-G991U, appeared.
Information of a Samsung phone with the model number SM-G991U are given on the US FCC site. So far, this has been linked with the Samsung Galaxy S21 vanilla, which has recently also appeared on Geekbench.
However, the certification page does not include further information about the Samsung phone’s hardware. But 9W reverse wireless charging is listed. The inclusion of a charger, particularly the model EP-TA800, is also suggested by some documents related to the mentioned model. However, Samsung is also rumoured to market the Galaxy S21 models without a bundled charger and earbuds, following Apple’s doing away with in-box content.
