Xiaomi has announced two new phones under the Redmi Note 9 5G series in China. As the name suggests, both of these devices are 5G capable. These two phones are the Redmi Note 9 5G and the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. These are a little bit different from the Redmi Note 9 launched earlier this year.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with a Snapdragon 750G processor along with 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of expandable UFS 2.2 storage. There is also some sort of liquid cooling on this phone.
The display is a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD screen and a 4,820mAh battery that can be fully charged using a 33W charger in just over an hour. The best feature, however, is its camera. It has got a 108 MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a pair of 2MP sensors for depth and macro modes.\
The Redmi Note 9 5G sports a Dimensity 800U processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128GB to 256GB of expandable storage. This phone also has 5G + 5G support which is not there on the Pro variant as it comes with a Snapdragon processor.
It comes with 6.53-inch FHD+ display, 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging and a triple camera setup that includes 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro lenses.
You can pre-order the Redmi Note 9 5G series starting today and sales starting December 1 in China. The Redmi Note 9 Pro’s pricing starts at 1,599 yuan (~$243) for the 6GB/128GB model, 1,799 yuan (~$274) for the 8GB/128GB option, and 1,999 yuan (~$304) for the 8GB/256GB model.
Pricing of the Redmi Note 9 5G starts at 1,299 yuan (~$198) for the 6GB/128GB option, 1,499 yuan (~$228) for the 8GB/128GB variant, and 1,699 yuan (~$258) for the 8GB/256GB option.
