The Samsung Galaxy A02 had been getting various certifications in the last months. It recently got Latin America’s CPQD certification. Looks like the company is gearing up for the launch of the handset.
According to Latin America’s CPQD certification, the handset will bear the official model number SM-A025M/DS. The handset will carry a massive battery with a typical capacity of 5,000 mAh and a rated capacity of 4,800 mAh.
In addition, listings on the GeekBench suggest that the handset will carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The handset will at least have a 3GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, other rumors suggest that the handset will come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display. It will have a waterdrop notch in the display to house the 8MP selfie shooter. The rear end has a dual-camera setup with 13MP as the main camera and 2MP as a depth sensor. The rectangular camera housing is also joined by a LED Flash.
While there is now news from Samsung on the launch date of the handset. Judging from the launch of Galaxy A01, which was during mid-December last year. We can expect the Samsung Galaxy A02 to launch around the same time this year.
