After facing a lot of backlashes this year for App Store policies and fees, Apple is now launching a new App Store Small Business Program. Under this program, developers that make less than $1 Million will be eligible to pay only a 15% cut to Apple, as opposed to 30% before.
If they cross the one million earning mark, they will automatically be forced to pay 30% fees again. But if they fall back, they will be reverted back to the 15% cut.
A lot of big corporations won’t get any benefit from this program. But since the program is intended for small developers, it is good to see Apple not completely ignoring what Epic Games was fighting for, still not giving them what they originally wanted.
