Yahoo Mail will discontinue automatic email forwarding for free users, from January 1st next year. In order to reduce hacking attempts, they are going to roll out this feature.
Verizon bought Yahoo in 2017, and they announced the new update. Users need to get a pro account which costs $34.99 for a year, or $3.49 a month. From January 1 automatic forwarding of emails from your Yahoo account will not be a feature of free Yahoo account. The company attempted to reduce risk from hackers, by offering pro accounts for real customers.
Verizon bought Yahoo for a total amount, of $4.8 billion back in 2017.
