Apple is going to update, its HomePod speaker with new software features. The features were announced, in an event which held earlier this month. Some of the features are intercom function.
Intercom helps you to record a message and send it to others in your house, or several others. This feature is already available with the Echo, but Apple is planning to make it different by expanding Intercom to iPhone, iPod, AirPods, Apple Watch. So you can record your message from anywhere, and send it. But for now, it is only available to send messages from one HomePod to another HomePod.
HomePod’s multi-user support now works for Podcasts, so voice recognition will make sure the right episode plays. And last, you can tell Siri on the HomePod to search the web for something and forward those results along to your iPhone.
More features for HomePod will arrive before the end of 2020. In the next update, you can be able to ask for personal updates, and weather reports, news, and so on. By adding these features to HomePod, the Apple HomePod speaker will be far better than other speakers.
