Carl Pei, OnePlus’s Co-Founder has reportedly left the firm! The mind behind OnePlus’s Nord is now moving out to work on his own hardware venture away from OnePlus.
The reports come from internal documents leaked by Reddit user u/JonSigur which states that there is a leadership change inside the company. Emily Dai, who is in charge of OP operations in India, is taking up leadership for the Nord lineup. However, we aren’t still clear about the situation. Although Android Authority has tried to contact OnePlus, they are keeping silent on this. It’s still unclear if Pei was fired, or he left.
But from their sourced, AA has confirmed that Pei is no longer in the company, and is going to start his own venture. He has already started talking to the investors for the capital.
As of Lau, he is still the CEO of the company. He will also contribute for product development and planning for Oppo, Realme and OnePlus.
