Samsung has been a fan favorite in countries like India. However, some may deny that after the Exynos 990 scenario, but still people do love Samsung. For these fans, Samsung has manufactured a cheaper ( not so cheap tho! ) Galaxy S20 FE. And this phone has arrived in India and will be up for the pre-orders soon.
The Galaxy S20 FE is meant for those people who want to experience S20 but a slightly lower price. However, the pricing tells something else. Also, you will get the Exynos 990 instead of Snapdragon 865 SoC, so expect the same heating issue here like the S20.
Setting the heated debate aside, the smartphone packs 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of storage. Also, you can expand the storage, at the cost of the second SIM card. For power, you will get a 4,500mAh battery, along with a 15W fast charger inside the box. However, the smartphone can charge with the 25W charger as well. Interestingly, Samsung packs 25W chargers with the entry-to-mid-but-not-so-mid Galaxy M51, but not with the expensive Galaxy S20 FE.
In terms of display, Samsung is providing a flat 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Underneath, you will also get a 32MP selfie camera. At the back, you will get the usual bumpy design of the S20, with a triple camera setup. The main camera is a 12MP camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8MP 3X telephoto lens.
Just like the normal S20, you will get IP68 certifications as well. That means your device is protected from dust and water spill and drop up to a certain depth for a certain time. Also, included in the package is an in-display fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, and DeX. However, you will have to live with only 4K recording and the plastic back.
Galaxy Note 20 also has a plastic back, so does it even matters?
Galaxy S20 FE: Price and Colors
The Galaxy S20 FE will cost you 49,999 from Samsung’s online store and retail stores. The pre-orders will begin on October 9th, with 5 different color options to choose from: Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, and Cloud White.
