Apple has already announced a 2020 edition of iPad Air on Sept 15. But this tablet is not yet out for sale. However, Apple is already working on a new iPad with A14 Bionic SoC, which will also make its way into the iPhone 12 series.
The geekbench results show that the A14 Bionic delivers good Single-Core performance. And as usual, it is said that the processor is better than the upcoming Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 1000 SoC. I don’t know about Exynos, they might recover, but comparing again with the Snapdragon processor, even with its prototype benchmarks, is a no brainer. In the past, we have already seen Apple claiming to beat 855, and 865, but in real life, they can’t.
In comparison to A13 Bionic, the A14 is 13% faster in Single-Core performance, and 20% faster in Multi-Core performance.
We have yet to see if Apple launches this tablet along side its upcoming iPhone series.
