Samsung is working on its first five-camera handset, the Galaxy A72. It has been two years since the company launched its first Quad-camera handset, the Galaxy A9 (2018). Looks like the Galaxy A series has been a testing ground for Samsung’s camera experimentation.
According to reports from The Elec, The Samsung Galaxy A72 is going to the first handset with a rear Penta-camera handset. The Rear Penta-camera will have the 64MP as the main camera, along with 12MP of an ultra-wide camera, 8MP of telephoto camera that has 3x zoom, 5MP of the macro lens, and 5MP depth sensor.
The reports also mention that the handset will have a 32MP selfie shooter. The handset is rumored to be a mid-range smartphone. We can expect to see the launch of the handset sometime in the first half of next year.
